Introduction

 

Mediakind APAC is looking for Head of Media Sales in Japan  

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Business development, client development & engagement development of prioritized engagements
  • Scoping of client requirements, developing and influencing client needs and ability to translate client business requirements
  • Continuously knowledge share, train sales counterparts and work closely with delivery Solution Architects on solution development.
  • Own business development, sales development, solution presentation, drive end to end proposal creation & deal closure.

 

Measurement

 

  • Orders booked, Net sales & Profitability contribution

 

Extended Responsibilities

 

  • Governance of deal quality in terms of right scoping, bare bone and right pricing strategy
  • Share insights of domain prerequisites, industry trends', customers' business challenges and competitor intelligence inwards product management and defend needs of new features to product managers to meet client requirements.
  • Develop strategies, innovative business models and go-to-market models that will contribute to strengthen our business and position as market leader
  • Ensure best practice knowledge management within the region and contribute to the global building of organization assets
  • Emulate a culture and ways of working characterized by proactive attitude, teamwork focused, strong performance ethics, high professionalism and high energy.

 

Qualifications

 

-        Experienced sales leader with proven track record in Japanese media and telco market selling complex HW and SW solutions preferably in media technology domain to Japanese top tier customers
 
 

-        MediaKind portfolio encompasses industry leading compression technology, media delivery and video storage solutions and cloud native next generation multiscreen software solutions
 

-        Excellent C-level relationships to Japanese telco and media customers and broadcasters  e.g. J-Com, JDS, NTT, SkyPerfect
 

-         Solid technology understanding combined with profound commercial acumen and trusted customer and industry relationships
 

-         Strong leadership skills to lead and orchestrate a winning team between sales, pre-sales and operations combined with good English skills
 

-         Reports to Head of Sales APAC region and part of regional management team
