About the role

 

As a Server Team Lead, reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, you will oversee Corporate on-premises and Azure Cloud Infrastructure. Your role will involve coordinating with various teams to ensure the successful execution of IT projects, maintaining server infrastructure, and providing exceptional technical support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers using (Hyper-V), storage, and network devices.
  • Monitor server performance using (Logic Monitor, Azure AD), troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
  • Serve as an escalation point for server-related issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution assistance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of server administrators, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
  • Administer all aspects of Microsoft Office 365 products and Entra (Azure AD) including Exchange, Microsoft Intune, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Defender for O365, Enterprise applications, and related technologies.
  • Manage Corporate devices leveraging Microsoft Intune (configuration profiles, windows updates, application management, and endpoint security).
  • Manage the company’s domains and SSL certificates through GoDaddy.
  • Coordinate server-related projects, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate server solutions with other systems and services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Leverage partnerships with Microsoft’s fast track team and support to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Deliver white-glove service to Executive Leadership team members in the US.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other IT teams and end-users as needed.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the server team and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain in-office availability to support local users and handle shipping/receiving for onboarding, offboarding, or equipment repair.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in server administration with proficiency in on-premises and Azure Cloud Infrastructure (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and project coordination.
  • In-depth knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (Windows Server 2016 & 2019, Windows 10 & 11), virtualization technologies (Hyper-V), and network protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security policies, authentication mechanisms, and access controls (SSO, MFA, RBAC, and conditional access policy).
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and SCCM.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) using Microsoft Intune.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSE, Azure certifications, or equivalent are desirable.
